Jos van den Oever - KO GmbH

We are a group of specialists dedicated to mainly Calligra Suite (formerly known as KOffice) and the OpenDocument file format. Steven Pemberton - CWI and W3C Speaker: A researcher at CWI, involved in the web since its beginning. Co-author of many web standards including HTML 4, XHTML, CSS, XForms and RDFa. Organisation: CWI: The Dutch National Research Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science and W3C: The organisation for standards for the web. Talk: There is an artificial distinction held between documents and websites. Yet ODF is an XML format, and CSS and related technologies allow the presentation of XML documents. So there is little reason why ODF shouldn't migrate to being an online document format alongside its traditional offline role. The slides can be downloaded here. 7. Speaker: Senior research engineer. Topics of interest are Internet routing infrastructure and its stability, scalability, and security. Organisation: NLnet Labs is a non-profit research and development company focusing on bridging the gap between theory and practical deployability. Talk: Inter-domain routing (routing between networks) is one of the core infrastructures of the Internet, but so vulnerable to security risks. Mark Overmeer - NLUUG 
Speaker: Mark is self-employed programmer, working from his home for many different projects. His main clients are SIDN, a Satellite imagery distribution company and NLnet. Besides, he has a few very large Open Source projects on his hands. Mark is secretary of Association NLUUG, Foundation Oophaga (CAcert equipment), Foundation Perl Promotion Netherlands and an Alumni association. Organisation: Association NLUUG is the professional Open System and Open Standard users. It goal is to support technical developers in using "Open", mainly by educating them to do their jobs better.
Talk: Contract bylaws are not popular in the Dutch Open Source community. Of course, in the right ""Open"" feeling, everyone works politely together. However, in reality, conflicts do arise and you should be prepared for it (at least a little bit). Existing standard bylaws from branch organisation ICT~Office and Arbit (government) are not able to cope with licenses like GPL (yet). The slides can be downloaded here. 11. RIPE Atlas

Rick van Rein - OpenFortress 
Speaker: I am an Msc and PhD in computer science, with a strong secondary background in electrical engineering. My daily work centers around two ideals for which I can be hired. The first ideal is to develop networking infrastructure, with an emphasis to cryptography. The second ideal is to improve the level of sustainability in our daily lives, for which my main focus is from my technical background. I run a company for each of those ideals, OpenFortress for crypto/infra and GroenGemak for sustainable engineering. In all my work, I try to use and develop open source. Organisation: OpenFortress develops network-infrastructure, usually with an emphasis on making cryptography generally available. We are currently developing on SIP. The recent acceptance of ZRTP for end-to-end encryption, combined with upcoming IPv6 support make it possible to finally move forward with digital telephony, and help to free that portion of the market. Talk: SIP telephony is hardly developing at the pace that it could have. The main cause appears to be that it is tied in with IPv4. To overcome this, we are developing an IPv6-only SIP service, and instead of catering to the whims of IPv4 we help to develop transitioning tools. This talk is about such tools. Head developer of several projects, among them delvj, b2cs, b2rex, lorea. Organisation: I work with different projects and organizations. at the moment i'm specially involved with the dyne foundation, delcorp and the lorea project Talk: RealXtend is an open virtual worlds platform, using an extended Second life protocol and OpenSim servers. The b2rex tool streamlines using blender for authoring realxtend worlds and aims to provide a powerful tool to create content and logic collaboratively. The slides can be downloaded here.
