Richard Stastny, Chair of Austrian ENUM forum

Richard Stastny is strategic analyst in OeFEG. OeFEG is a 100% subsidiary of Telekom Austria, the incumbent telecom operator in Austria. Richard Stastny has studied Physics and Mathematics at the University of Vienna and has over 25 years of experience in computing and digital switching. He is participating actively in various international standard bodies such as ETSI, ITU-T, IETF, VISIONng and TMF. In the last years he was responsible in OeFEG for the convergence of NGN networks, the migration to IP based networks, IP Communications, VoIP and ENUM. Richard is also the chair of the Austrian ENUM platform.

Christian Stredicke, Director of Snom Technology

Dr. Christian Stredicke, born 1968 in Germany, studied computer science from 1989 to 1992 and business administration from 1992 to 1996 at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. He had a five-year teaching and research position at the Institute for Technical Computer Science at the Technical University, where he received his Ph.D. in Engineering in 1997. After his university time, he did various consulting projects at Arthur D. Little and at Snom. He received the Erwin Stefan Price for his outstanding short and successful studies in computer science in 1992. Dr. Stredicke founded Snom in 1996, where he is now as a member of the executive board responsible for technology. His interests are computer telephony, electronic design, accounting and taxes.

Adrian Georgescu, Founder of AG Projects

Adrian Georgescu is founder of AG Projects where he focuses on implementing systems for the convergence of the Internet and Telecom. He is an active member of the Open Source community and member of ENUM special task force committee that has been established by European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). Prior starting of his own enterprise, Mr. Georgescu had accumulated experience in Telecom with Tomrad Communications, Esprit Telecom, Global Tele Systems (GTS) and Internet with Ebone and KPNQwest. Adrian's expertise spans DNS and ENUM, signalling protocols, provisioning systems, CDR mediation solutions and implementation of disaster recovery plans for large infrastructures. He received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Electrotechnics at the Polytechnics University of Bucharest.

Daniel-Constantin Mierla

Daniel-Constantin Mierla, co-founder of Voice System

Daniel-Constantin Mierla is co-founder and CTO of Voice-System SRL. In June 2005, he co-founded OpenSER.org, a scalable and flexible open source SIP proxy, being also core developer of SIP Express Router from its early beginning in 2002. He has a Master degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Polytechnics University of Bucharest. His experience was accumulated working as consultant for Orange Romania, branch of French Orange mobile operator, and researcher in network communications at FOKUS Fraunhofer Institute, Berlin, Germany.

Bogdan-Andrei Iancu

Bogdan-Andrei Iancu, co-founder of Voice System

Bogdan-Andrei Iancu is a co-founder of Voice System, a "know-how" VoIP company. Born in 1978 in Romania, he receives in 2001 the Master Degree in Computer Science at University "Politehnica" Bucharest. For the next 4 years, his research work at Fraunhofer Fokus Research Institute for Open Communication, Berlin is sustained by hands-on experience in VoIP/SIP area as co-founder and main developer of the Open Source project "SIP Express Route". In 2004, Mr Iancu starts his own enterprise dedicated to designing, implementing and deploying VoIP platforms. Focusing on advanced service and dynamic routing versus scalability and security, in 2005 he co-founds the OpenSER public project as the next step in VoIP enhancement.

Florian Overkamp

Florian Overkamp, SpeakUp

Florian Overkamp is founder and director of SpeakUp. He studied Computer Science at the University of Twente. Overkamp co-founded Virtu Secure Webservices, a carrier neutral hosting provider also responsible for technical operations for the NDIX. After that, Florian returned to development and services to establish SpeakUp as an independant telephony service provider with focus on Open Source VoIP solutions such as Asterisk for business applications and specialises in consolidation scenario's and hosted telephony applications for small to medium size enterprises.

Ronan Lupton

Ronan Lupton, Head of Regulatory Affairs, EMEA Interconnection Policy, MCI

Ronan Lupton is Head of Regulatory Affairs, Ireland & EMEA Interconnection Policy at MCI. He represents MCI on a wide range of commercial and regulatory issues in Ireland and at the EU level. Ronan has a bachelor's degree in Management from John Moores University Liverpool and a master's degree in Strategic Management from Dublin Institute of Technology. He also has extensive experience in voice, interconnection and IP engineering, as well as regulatory policy.

Anton Holleman

Anton Holleman, Nominum

Anton Holleman is Senior Consulting Engineer at Nominum. He started his career in 1994 at Philips where he designed, built and operated a global DNS backbone. AtosOrigin commercialized this service and deployed it for various other multinationals. Anton joined Nominum in 2001 where he got deeply involved in structuring DNS for large ISPs and Telecom operators. Anton is member of the Dutch ENUM working group and has a master's degree in computer science from the University of Twente.

Dan Pascu

Dan Pascu, CTO AG Projects

Dan Pascu received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Telecommunications from Bucharest Polytechnic University in 1995. Dan has years of experience in design and implementation of complex systems, software development and IP networking. Dan is a well-known contributor to the Open Source community, he is co-author of WindowMaker X-Window Manager and author of MediaProxy solution for SIP Express Router.

Thomas de Haan

Thomas de Haan, Ministerie van Economische Zaken

Thomas de Haan is policy coordinator at the Department of Economic Affairs in the Directorate-General for Telecommunications and Post (DGTP). He is the Netherlands representative in ICANN's Governmental Advisory Committee and has been involved with ENUM in the Netherlands since a number of years. In 2002 he chaired NLEG, a market working group comprising a broad representation of Dutch ENUM stakeholders. The group published the report ENUM in Nederland (English version). At the present time the Dutch ENUM zone is delegated to DGTP, and in this capacity DGTP has a role in the choice of a new registry.

Oskar van Deventer

Oskar van Deventer, TNO Information and Communication Technology

Dr. Oskar van Deventer is chair of the FIST taskforce VoIP interconnection, that brings together companies such as Versatel, BT, BBned, UPC, Casema, KPN and Easynet. He has extensive experience within voice-over-packet networking, including telephony network control, asynchronous transfer mode and voice-over-IP. Oskar van Deventer has actively contributed to the standardisation of the voice-over-packet 'BICC' protocol by ITU-T Study Group, and was the author and editor of three ITU-T standards. Oskar van Deventer holds a PhD degree on bidirectional optical transmission from the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Carsten Schiefner

Carsten Schiefner, Deutsche Telekom

Carsten Schiefner works for Deutsche Telekom as Project Manager Production Preparation IP - Technologies & Markets. Prior to that he was responsible for external relations at RIPE NCC. In this role Schiefner maintained existing and established new contacts with governmental and industry bodies on national as well as international levels. Furthermore, Schiefner was responsible for the coordination of and led all activities related to the ENUM Tier 0 registry for e164.arpa. He worked for several companies such as the Primus Group and Siemens. He has been an honorary member of DENIC's Executive Board since July 1998. He has a background in Computer Science and Communication Science.

Antoin Verschuren

Antoin Verschuren, SIDN

Antoin Verschuren works as a technical advisor for the Policy & Business Development department of Stichting Internet Domeinregistratie Nederland. SIDN governs the .nl-domain. Before that he was a member of the advisory council of SIDN for several years. Prior functions include Via Networks and Internet Access Eindhoven in several technical functions.

Michiel Leenaars

Michiel Leenaars, Internet Society

Michiel Leenaars is director of Internet Society Netherlands since 2002. Additionally he works for the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) as an advisor on e-science, e-infrastructure and grid technology. He is a founding member of Gridforum Netherlands. From 2001 to 2004 he represented the internet community in the European ICT Standards Board, the policy body overseeing European standardisation efforts. He is a member of the advisory committee of Burger@overheid.nl, and a boardmember of stichting Petities.nl. He has a background in Physics and Arts.
