SIPSIG: Wat gebeurt er in standaardisatie rondom SIP?22 mei 2008Op 22 mei 2008 organiseerde de ISOC SIPSIG een bijeenkomst rondom de stand van zaken van diverse standaardisatietrajecten rondom SIP en gerelateerde technologieen. Sprekers waren Toon Norp (TNO), Jan Dietz (TNO), Adrian Georgescu (AG Projects) en Oskar van Deventer (TNO). Dagvoorzitter was prof. dr. Rob Meijer (UvA). De bijeenkomst werd gehouden bij KPN in Den Haag.
Inhoud van het programmaToon NorpToon Norp is a Business Consultant at TNO Information and Communication Technology. Toon has been involved with IMS since it first appeared in 3GPP standardisation. He has been working on IMS standardisation, strategy, impact analysis, RFI/RFQ and architecture design for European mobile operators and is a regular speaker and panellist at IMS conferences. Since he joined TNO (formerly KPN Research) in 1991 he has been working on network aspects of mobile communications. For the first part of his career, UMTS has been the focus of his work. Since the UMTS auctions, his focus has shifted to All IP mobile networks and IMS. Toon Norp received an M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Eindhoven.

Hij was co-chair van de Release 2 RACS uitbreidingen die eind 2007 aangenomen zijn. Martin heeft een achtergrond in switching development en product management van PON, ADSL en CATV access systemen.
Ir. Jan (J.B.) Dietz, TNOBinnen TNO werkt Jan Dietz vanuit een achtergrond in de bedrijfstelecommunicatie aan trendanalyse en netwerkarchitecturen. Zijn aandacht richt zich vooral op public-private interworking en op migratiescenario's. Samen met enkele specialisten ondersteunt hij inhoudelijk bij RFI/RFP trajecten van bedrijven die hun telecommunicatievoorzieningen willen moderniseren. Actueel zijn daarnaast advisering binnen het All-IP programma van KPN en bijdragen aan standaardisatie van moderne bedrijfstelecommunicatie in o.m. ECMA en ETSI.

Based in the Netherlands, AG Projects is a leading European company supplying service providers with turnkey SIP infrastructure systems. Adrian is an advocate of IETF standards, member of OpenSER management board, founder and co-chair of the Dutch ISOC SIP Special Interest Group. Prior to starting of his own company, Adrian had accumulated experience with Tomrad Communications, Esprit Telecom, GTS, Ebone and KPNQwest. Adrian's expertise is the design of high-availability infrastructures, addressing and numbering systems, signaling protocols, provisioning and mediation systems, implementation of disaster recovery plans. Adrian has received in 1996 a degree in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Electrotechnics at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania.
Oskar van Deventer, TNODr. M. Oskar van Deventer is senior scientist on network and service control. His focus is on the realization of national and international standards. He contributed actively to the ITU-T voice-over-ATM "BICC" standards and was editor of three of those standards. He is currently contributing to the ETSI TISPAN standards on IMS-based IPTV, among others as editor. He was also chairman of Dutch VoIP Interconnection Taskforce (FIST) and chairman of Dutch ENUM technical working group (ENUM Innovation Platform). He is (co)author of one book, more than 85 publications, over 30 patents and over 130 standardization contributions.
